Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this educational activity, participants will be able to:
- Explain the immunology, epidemiology, natural history, and progressive stages of T1D
- Describe the rationale and methods for identifying individuals at risk for developing clinical T1D
- Evaluate the potential role of emerging therapies in prevention of clinical T1D and early-stage care
- Consider practical aspects of screening, monitoring, and supporting individuals in early-stage T1D
